Knight A. Scientific update. Lifescape 2008 (Jul.-Aug.): 42. Download (70 kb).

Summary of Dr Robert Matthews’ demolition of claim that virtually every medical achievement of the last century has depended directly or indirectly on research with animals, in a recent edition of the J Royal Soc Med; as well as my recent systematic reviews demonstrating poor human biomedical utility of animal experimental models generally, and chimpanzee experiments specifically.

Veterinary ethicist Andrew Knight BSc., BVMS, CertAW, MRCVS, FOCAE, is the Founder and Director of Animal Consultants International. His expertise includes humane alternatives to harmful animal use in education, animal experimentation, and vegetarian companion animal diets.
